Like the middle child of the family, Tampa knows it has something to prove. While Orlando may be the responsible, family type and Miami may be the spunky, attention craving baby of the family, don't count out Florida's little gem of a middle child--Tampa. It's a bit slower paced and a big less crowded, and just a bit surprising in how much it has to offer. Although Tampa is home to some of the best sun and beaches in the United States, it isn't content to sit by and rest on its laurels. Tampa offers plenty to do in the shade, as well. Zoos, aquariums, and Busch Gardens spice up visits to Tampa. And if you think Busch Gardens is some kind of dull expanse of trees and bushes to walk through, then you, my friend, don't know Tampa. And if you haven't been surprised yet by everything that Tampa has to offer, maybe you aren't aware that American Style Magazine named Tampa the "Top Arts Destination" thanks to its critically acclaimed opera, Broadway performances, and art museums housing work by the best artists in the world.

I was in Tampa 1st week of April 2015. I have to say and admit I fell in love! So beautiful and gorgeous! I loved the environment the people and the vibe of the place. The beach is paradise! Nice clear water with silky soft white sands! I loved that it had good nightlife but it was also pretty chill, it has best of both worlds. Its a beautiful place and I would definitely recommend people visit! I cant wait to be back!
Tampa has been my favorite spring vacation destination thus far. You can be on the beach one minute and at a Tampa Bay Lightning hockey game the next. The arena is very fan-friendly and has great prices on tickets. My husband and I got tickets to a game three rows from the glass, two beer vouchers, two hats, and all the popcorn, peanuts, and cotton candy we wanted for $75.
We stayed in Madeira Beach, right outside of Tampa. The beaches down that way are gorgeous, clean, and only a short drive from the city.
We particularly enjoyed John's Pass, a tourist trap just a short walk from our condo. TONS of restaurants and shops. De Losa's pizza is the place to go for a late night slice...and locally owned!
Make you sure make a trip to the Florida Aquarium. It was such a fun time and I really enjoyed looking at all the beautiful sea life. I also learned a lot!
If you're looking for a place to go out and have a good time and a few drinks, just pick one. There are TONS of places to go and they're all awesome.
Busch Gardens is a must-visit. The rides are great, the food is great, and the scenery is amazing.
The weather in the spring is fantastic. It rained a couple of days while we were there, but overall, the weather was pristine.
