Description

We dare you to take a trip to the family fun capital of the world and not find endless entertainment to fill every minute of your time with. It's where Mickey, Shamu, and Harry Potter have all decided to call home, and it's the perfect vacation spot for anyone who likes fun. While most people take their trips to Orlando in the summertime, there's never really a bad time to come for a visit. And if you're coming from somewhere cold, be careful not to laugh if you see a few Florida natives wearing scarves and hats when it's about 60 degrees outside. Orlando is home to the best theme parks in the entire world, all within a few minutes drive. Once you're done with theme parks, Orlando has plenty of other things to fill your time with, including nearby beaches, every kind of shopping you could desire, spas, golfing, and even a few fine art museums to balance out your time with. Whether you're going on your own or with your family, Orlando promises to keep your time filled with whatever kind of magical entertainment suits your needs. Images courtesy of Visit Orlando.

Don't miss the fireworks show in Magic Kingdom Park (Wishes Nighttime Spectacular), it's beatiful!
There's a Circo du Soleil in Down Town, great show! Very good Scenography.
I can't forget to mention the water parks, SeaWorld and Wet'n Wild. The bests.
If you're looking for something radical, pass by Bush Gardens Park, in Tampa, a close city.

When I visited Orlando I enjoyed the food and the weather more than anything else. Disney World was a memorable destination that is especially attractable to those that love the Disney movies. The only negative part of Disney World is it's not exactly the cheapest, and the long lines can be somewhat irritating. I was twelve when I went on vacation and I enjoyed the more thrilling rides like the roller coasters, but even the slower rides were fun, too. I went in 2009 and I can't imagine that it's changed very much. I wish I would've known about the Universal Studios when I was on my vacation because I've heard it's really fun, too.

try not to max out your credit cards. The theme park admissions are outrageous. Don't go on a holiday they're packed. Was in Orlando during a hurricane and of course they were all closed except the Dolphin experience. what a rip off, no one went because there was a freaking hurricane.

Definitely check out Disney World. There are some great golf courses around the city. The nightlife is great so check out Downtown Disney.

Great fun for the whole family.

Definitely THE go-to spot for kid friendly fun. However, it's also a great place for conventions. The city definitely has interesting character, what with all the loop-de-looping rollercoaster in the distant skyline as you drive down the highway. We can't forget the great fun that is the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! I'd make the trek 200 times over just to have some butterbeer!

I may be the only one out there, but I think Orlando/Disney is HIGHLY over rated, and even more HIGHLY OVERPRICED. The prices, especially to take a whole family, are outrageous. The parks are fun, sure, but it's an incredible racket. And it's not just the parks, everything is overpriced, just because you are "disney adjacent". There are some very nice shopping outlet malls, and you can get some good deals on hotels. (but avoid the time share places...........HARD sell!)
Disney may be the most popular tourist attraction in the world, but for my money and precious vacation time, I can think of at least 50 other places I want to go! When you are in Orlando, you could be anywhere in the world, there is no culture.
