Description

Madrid, Spain is famous for so many things, it may as well be considered a celebrity in and of itself. One thing is for sure, you'll leave Madrid a little smarter, with a lot more culture, with a happy tummy and dressed so well that you'll be the envy of all of your friends. World-famous museums keep your brain working, though you'll hardly realize that you're doing anything but having a good time. Thousands of important artwork is housed in museums that are so architecturally beautiful that they should be considered artwork themselves. For a taste of true Spanish culture, you can see for yourselves why Spaniards are famous for both dancing and soccer. Sit back and watch enchanting Flamenco dancers or even give it a try yourself. And if you're really brave, you can catch a soccer game amongst some of the world's most intense futbol fans. Eating in Madrid is a cultural experience thanks to historical taverns, lively neighborhood hot spots and cosmopolitan tapas bars. With a nightlife unlike anywhere else in the world, even Madrid's club and bar scene oozes with culture. And if you have some loose change jingling around in your pocket by the end of your trip, swing by the legendary flea markets in Madrid and give yourself a chance to wader medieval streets and practice your haggling skills, all the while absorbing the electric atmosphere of this grand country.

Beautiful city!

09/30/13
Madrid, the capital of Spain, is special for its Palacio Real, El Prado and it's parks all around as well as nice food, people and wine.

I can very much recommend to see a musical or visit the Warner bros park which is located outside the city.

In Old Madrid...

09/21/13
Shopping, sight seeing, nightlife, Madrid has it all. Do not leave this city without spending time in the museums! Madrid has an amazing collection of artwork from Picasso to Goya to Bosch. You could spend days soaking in the culture in one museum alone. Have some time to travel outside of the city? Take a trip south to nearby Toledo, Spain. Get lost in through the winding cobblestone streets and relax at a cafe with a glass of wine. Bonus: it comes with free tapas! Who wouldn't love a city where a glass of wine is cheaper than a pepsi?

Not just soccer!

08/25/13
When you think about Spain or Madrid you immediately think about soccer. Once you start walking around this city you realize that there is so much more to see.
You can find all this beautiful and historical places to go. I think Madrid is more of a afternoon city. If you want to have a coffee, couple drinks or just relax this is the place to visit.
