Description

Jacksonville is for the kind of folks who don't mind spending most of their time in the warm, breezy outdoors. Known as a "Natural Water Wonderland," Jacksonville boast more than 21 miles of white-sandy beaches, a riverfront Downtown and 40 miles of the Intracoastal Waterway running through the city. Visitors can go fishing, surfing, cruising and boating in the “River City by the Sea.” The outdoor activities don't stop at the beach; in Jacksonville, the weather is so beautiful, you can golf, watch sports, and even shop for groceries and more at the numerous farmers markets. If you need a break from the outdoors, multiple museums and the symphony aim to entertain all. And though the kids will have to stay home, adults can hit up brewery and winery tours. In the evening, fireworks light up the warm Florida sky and the nightlife begins for the adult crowd.

I could say that Jacksonville is a dirty city with little merits and loads of crime, but that would just be so tactless - Jacksonville is a great place IF you know where to go. It's a spread out city with a ton of places you could spend your time at - Jax beach, Riverside, Five Points, St. John's Town Center, etc. If you're used to big cities, Jacksonville isn't much different. Always be vigilant, and don't leave yourself open to robbery. Crime rates are pretty bad in some parts, but usually, most visitors don't wander into those.

I lived near Jacksonville as a child and then revisited several years ago. Overall, I didn't find the charm other people experience when they visit this city, but in truth our trip was short and hurried. I think we will return to Jacksonville in a few years and give it a second chance to win us over!

Because it's near Orlando and Palm Beach, Jacksonville gets overlooked! It's beautiful, friendly and easy to navigate. Great place for a relaxing vacation with or without kids. A lot of culture in the city if you are wiling to look for it. Also, Great shopping and easy to access airport!

Whether it's going downtown to the Landing or checking out one of our Jacksonville Sports facilities (Like the NFL Jacksonville Jaguars, the Baseball Jacksonville Suns, The ABA Jacksonville Giants, the Arena Football Jacksonville Sharks or the Hockey team) there's always something for everyone.
The shopping at ST John's Towne Center is fantastic as is all the malls that Jacksonville has to offer.
Plenty of nightlife down at the landing and the beaches and plenty of incredible places to eat
Oh and the beaches are wonderful.
Plus it's not far from St Augustine (America's Oldest City) and the outlet malls in St Augustine or even St George's Street in St Augustine. (If you go there be sure to check out the Bakery at get in line early..Bread sells out quickly).
And it is also only a few hours from Daytona and the theme parks of Orlando.
If you're like my family we loved it so much we actually bought a winter home in Middleburg in Clay County in between it all.

Jacksonville
Mentioning to Jacksonville, we immediately think about the quiet and peacefulness plus the warm and breezy of this place. This is such an ideal place for those people who truly want to relax after all the stress from lives such as hard working, relationship, study... We have a lot of options when we chose Jacksonville is the next destination. The advantages of it are pretty much outd
