Description

President Roosevelt called The Grand Canyon ""the one great site which every American...should see" when he declared it a national monument in 1908. The Grand Canyon offers a variety of options depending on how adventurous you are and what kind of adventure you're looking for. Whether driving, hiking, rafting, or riding a mule, you can tour the 280 miles of canyon, rapids, waterfalls, and trails. And if your kind of adventure is learning about new cultures, visiting historic towns, or even, perhaps, lounging at a luxurious spa, The Grand Canyon isn't just about the cardio workout.

Awe-some

The Grand Canyon is definitely magnificent. You just have to make sure not to make the mistake of going to the Indian reservation close to Las Vegas. It is pretty mush a rip-off and they are not too friendly about it either! Instead you should travel a bit (quite a bit actually) further to the actual Grand Canyon National Park (South Entrance). And while you are there, might as well drive up to Page, AZ. There you have the Horseshoe Bend, which is free and actually could be called a part of the Grand Canyon as well. From Las Vegas you can also take helicopter tours. So many options it is hard to choose from.. But choose one definitely! It's worth it!

I've seen many pictures about the gran canyon before going there...has never been possible to imagine the beauty and the magnificence of this place before going there!!!!

I live in San Diego, so have the luxury of driving over to the Grand Canyon and camp in all the beautiful camping grounds. I have hiked down in a couple spots, and enjoy the serenity of the walk down. I have always wanted to take the helicopter tour, but dont really have the money for that. Be careful, it does get a little chilly there at night time, so bring some good sleeping bags. You really dont even have to go camping, i am sure there are some nice cabins/hotels you can stay at and go on the short day hikes. There are plenty of national parks around the Grand Canyon, including one of my favorites, the petrified forest!

One of the best places to go to enjoy many adventures and peacefulness of nature is The Grand Canyon. The massive mountains look so stunning that only the greatest painters could paint. In addition, the ways the colors contrast the mountains look amazingly beautiful, in comparison to a masterpiece. Also, the rivers that flow through The Grand Canyon, seems so clear like a crystal diamond shining in
