Best Known For

Any time of year is a good time of year to visit Steamboat Springs in northern Colorado, although your visit will be different depending on when you go. Some visitors get a trip filled with camping, fishing, and boating. While others get ice fishing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling. In fact, the snow is so good in Steamboat Springs that the area of town featuring the famous Champagne Powder snow is called Ski Town, USA. Its reputation comes from years of producing perfect powder and Winter Olympics athletes. Even common folk will have fun with the mountain terrain and half pipes. And after a long day of shredding trails, sooth your sore muscles in a natural hot spring which is even more magical when visited on a snowy evening. Although often overshadowed by the impossibly great snowy season, the warm season offers just as legendary backdrops for hikes, mountain biking, or even gondola rides. It's the kind of place where you can kick off your dusty cowboy boots and feel at home.
