Description

Picture in your head what you think a "Garden of the Gods" would look like. Really let your imagination create a picture for you. That picture will be completely repainted for you when you visit Keahiakawelo, otherwise known as the Garden of the Gods. It's located on the island of Lanai in Hawaii and the first thing you'll notice about this garden is its complete lack of green. There is absolutely no vegetation. It looks nothing like your typical garden, but you'll quickly come to appreciate its uniquely stunning beauty. It's entirely made of rock formations-boulders and rock towers-formed from centuries of erosion. As beautiful as these rock formations are in the warm sun, when the sun begins to go down, the beauty comes to life. The gorgeous Hawaii sunset casts a warm orange glow on the rocks and turns them into a true garden of rich colors.
