Description

Put your sunscreen, big floppy hats, and oversized sunglasses away and head on over to the hot but uniquely sunless Chengdu in China's Sichuan Province. Sitting in the Red Basin and surrounded by mountains, Chengdu is famous for its laid-back attitude, vibrant culture, and relaxing living standards. The entire city is a constant celebration of Chinese ancient culture and modern advancements. You don't even have to go out of your way to see famous statues or cultural demonstrations. If you think you've had spicy food, you may change your mind after trying some of the traditional food in Chengdu. Although you can often order it non-spicy, a little spicy, or very spicy, you may find yourself dining on the spiciest, most flavorful food you've ever experienced. Nightclubs abound for those looking for a different kind of spice. An entire street is dedicated to various kinds of bars, satisfying your needs whether you're looking to dance the night away or quietly sip drinks.

Chengdu: the city of art and colours

09/29/13
A city with a beautiful heart and impressive soul.
Chengdu has been imagining a reconstruction with a French influence for a part of the city. It's like walking around, imagining the French renaissance and finally discovering you're in China.
The influence of art is important there, and people take care of it. Thanks to that, you would walk around, find a live band playing with all its soul, then someone would record a movie while another artists would be painting in the street.

Once you would get there, you would never forgive the picture of Chengdu. A colorful city which doesn't seems to be like other Chinese cities.
