Description

Spain's Balearic Islands, entice millions of visitors each year with the promise of warm sun, soft sand, and inviting water. Boasting 300 days of sunshine a year, the beaches in Majorca and the other equally beautiful islands are reason enough for the visit. The atmosphere is everything you'd need in a beach vacation-trendy restaurants, charming bars and cafes, upbeat nightclubs and an energetic nightlife. And although the resort areas of the islands are well developed, much of the islands tend to be rather secluded. Sandy bays and open beaches are complemented by an excellent selection of water sports. Visitors who are drawn here for its beaches will be pleasantly surprised to be surrounded by so much enchanting history, as well. A 13th century cathedral and 700-year-old palace are stunning additions to the already brilliant coastal landscape that runs along the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range.
