Description

Bahia, Brazil is so beautiful a place that we almost don't want to share it with the rest of the world. This tropical paradise stays between 67 and 80 degrees year round. Rich in history and art, Bahia isn't one to just accept the near perfect weather nor its massive coastline. The biggest city in Bahia is Salvador where you'll find world famous beaches, malls, and parks that have been preserved. Although Bahia gives visitors the kind of experience they'd want from a visit to Brazil, complete with carnivals, ancient buildings and museums, it's "off-the-beaten path" feel is what sets it apart.

Thirst capital of Brazil, there's a lot of history, if you go to Pelourinho (historic center), don't go deep in the alleys, it's a dangerous neighborhood. But there are aways police cars in the principal areas, so you can walk relaxed.
Every saturday in the MAM (museum of modern art) at 6pm there's a jam concert, very good music with a view great of Bahia de Todos os Santos (The second biggest bay in the world).
A good choice if you're looking nightlife is Rio Vermelho, a neighbor with many bars and some dance clubs.
A bad thing about the city is the intense trafic.

Sun and Beach

That's the kind of tourism that offers the conjoint presence of water, sun and warm weather. The combination of these elements constitutes the main attraction factor, due especially to the warm or mild temperatures, suitable for beach resorts. Regardless of the official dates, summer actually starts well before December in Bahia.
